Oh my - it has been a bit - I can't believe it is already November. I think my mojo left me for a bit - I have been so engossed in ROD journals that my mojo went on vacation. So to try to snap out of that - I thought I would make the cards I had from a kit from Scrappy Gourmet. And since I have done kits myself - I know how important it is to make sure the directions are right - there some errors in the kit - and not enough product - but I improvised - all in all I am ok with them - but I think I should have done the snowflake white.
Now - I have some swap stuff to work on - hope this helps me get back into it. Have a great week.
Well - I am trying to play as much as I can (when I can stay awake) - here are some cards made from a Tweety Jill Card Kit - I LOVE birds - I added a lot to these to try to make them more what I like . I also have been working on my ROD journal - now that has been a blast - I know I have said I would post pics - and I will - soon.
OK - here is my Bird Journal that I made at the Tweety Jill workshop - she is a great designer and has published many books. I really enjoyed making this - it was a long workshop - but definitely did not feel hurried - I did have to finish up at home - but mostly that was because I wanted to add things of my own - which I did - I don't know if you can tell from the pictures - but I used antique gold glitter on all the pages - just to give them a touch of glitz and pizazz. Now - must complete my signatures for my ROD journal. I can't seem to stop making pages (think I will just have to start another journal!)
Well - It was very nice to have a whole week of play - well almost - had to wait for DH to leave to get hunt camp ready - yes season is coming up so I will have LOTS of playtime after work and weekends. So - here is a start to what I have been working on - this is a swap for Hilltop Memories
I used the bandanna technique on one, brayer on another, dew drops, lots of glitter - just a few fun things (could not make up my mind so made them all a little different.)
I continued to work on my Remains of the Day journal - will post soon (really, I will) - and Saturday I spent the day at Violetts for an all day Bird Journal workshop - still working on finishing that - will post that also when done (aren't I terrible! ) That is it for now. (p.s. for those who care - my leg is finally on the mend - I think the salt water from the beach really helped it along.)
Well - the last of my swap ATC's are here - this is a swap called Lucky Lady Dip - essentially lots of topics were posted - and you picked 6 you wanted to do. My spring ATC - I used the fine flower soft - man - I love that and will get more - much easier to use than the earlier ones. I used real seashells on the She Sells Sea shells, the mosaic - I ran through my xyron - cut up paper leaving spaces - poured on detail embossing powder and heated - like how it came out - strange girl - just a collage, the tropical paradise is one I did on the stampscapes retreat and the last one - is my interpretation of sun-kissed - I immediately thought of the drink. Now - I am going to do a remains of the day journal - can't wait.
