Am I on a roll if I blog 2 times in 7 days? Well - I finished my last Swap obligation - and this one took many twists and turns. I have been working on this for a few weeks now - the swap was about a technique - cracked glass. I have done this before and knew how to do it. My challenge - what to do. I had first completed one that I had stamped some cardinals on a pine branch - used distress inks to color - and then applied the technique. All good - but then what was I going to do with it. So I sat on it a few days. Then last night - I thought about doing a cracked glass window - sort of a juxtaposiiton of old and new - looking out the cracked window would be a butterfly garden. So this morning I begin working on this. Found great paper to use as a background, mounted - proceeded to do the cracked glass technique. Well - this time - my "glass" did not crack. So - I had a stack of mail on the counter by the fridge and a pair of scissors. So I turned over the piece onto the stack of mail - and proceeded to hit on the back of the ATC. Well low and behold - what beautiful cracks were made - but did not crack the surface. Now - to figure out how to make my windo pane - - well - I found my trim to use - but decided not to make a window at all - see - you start looking to do one thing and then do something totally different. But I am happy with the results. Enjoy!
